I first heard about the tapping technique – I didn’t know the name at the time – through my younger brother, who used it to calm himself during anxiety attacks or feelings of intense depression. I saw the impact it had on him, and how it genuinely seemed to calm him down. I’ve since begun attending sessions, and I’m noticing a similar change in how I deal with my own anxiety.
I’m so glad I did my research and discovered emotional freedom techniques – they have changed everything for me. I feel so much lighter day to day knowing that I won’t get overwhelmed by my routine activities. Learning the process is only a small change to make in your life, but in return it offers huge rewards.
The positive affirmations that you speak while tapping have always helped me keep a level head. I’m not sure how I’d get through the week without practising EFT – it’s just so useful in those little off-moments where you feel a bit disorientated. My anxiety sometimes makes me feel disconnected, as if I’m dreaming. Tapping, along with the simple, repeated mantra, makes me feel at ease and reminds me things are going to be okay.
I suffer from anxiety and tapping has helped me calm myself on multiple occasions – it’s especially useful in a public place when I need to keep a level head. It’s an easy method to keep your cool, and it’s made me feel more confident going out in public. Knowing that I have a method under my belt that can help reduce my anxiety is a big part of feeling happier and – dare I say it – normal
